there's a turducken in my future

Happy Thanksgiving!

There's a lot that I'm thankful for.

Anyway, sentiments aside, I'm also thankful that I am going to eat a lot of really good food that my mother is currently slaving and sweating away at making. Oh mom. I am so lucky to have such a great mom.

I'm thankful that she's been calling me all week to ask me what she should serve, what side dishes I might like, how I would like them prepared, and in the process, left me a frantic message while she was in the grocery store about broccoli. I tried to call her back as soon as I heard the message, but it was too late. She would have to go shopping the next day. They say a mother's work is never done, and by golly, in her case, they are absolutely right.

Or, a daughter's work is never done.

In any case...I better go feasting. Showered, dressed, and bundled against the cold, off I go for Thanksgiving with half of my family.

cheers!

Kitten! It was so nice talking to you too, even if it was sorta quick and sad. I'm so touched that you and my dad called. It made me feel bad, kinda like, I could call whenever and I don't. A lot of times I'm busy, especially on the weekends, and now with work and all. I love you and miss you terribly. I keep thinking to my winter break and perhaps coming out to see ya'll for a bit. It's in February. And this time I mean it. Maybe Eric will join me? Wouldn't that be nice?

Anyway, daydreams aside, it made my Thanksgiving get off to a nice, loved by my family start, and I thank you for being a part of the joy you gave me. We had a good dinner and spent time with Jr, Janet and Jocelyn. News is that she's pregnant with another baby.

I'm to be aunted again! Hooray for life!

Isn't that something? And of course, I totally forgot to tell them your wishes for a lovely day. I will call them...and tell them to call you.

Please know I was thinking of you and that your call was very welcome and appreciated.

xoxo!

Hey there!! It sounds like you had a wonderful Tahnksgiving! I am glad to hear that JR and family made it over too! Another baby!! How cool! I do hope things are great for them...!! We got a dusting of snow 2 days ago and missed the 10 inches or more that some parts west of us got! I was greatful for that! But I am sure before to long we will be a winterwonderland too! It bound to happen eventually. It would be great to have you visit and if Eric comes along even the better! Hopefully you can make it out:) Hugs to you and Love ya!!
